Ingredients
1 cup peas
1/2 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
For masala/paste:
1 cup coconut
1/2 onion
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 spoon poppy seeds
1 small piece cinnamon
1 clove
pinch of cumin seeds
4 red chillies whole
1 1/2 tsp tamarind
Instructions
Soak peas in water for 4-6 hours
Cook peas in pressure cooker for 1 whistle
Fry the ingredients for the paste and grind them to with a little water to a fine masala
Add masala to peas, add salt and sugar and cook for on low flame
Add seasoning
